Okay, so I know this is late...sorry. I was watching Titanic on Thursday for the first time and as I'm sure most of you know, it's pretty long (a bit over three hours!). And yesterday I kinda ended up doing odds and ends stuff, like going to half-price books and getting some new awesome stuff to read :)

I can completely understand the avoidance of post-ep fic for Wannabe and Pain. While I haven't been avoiding it per say, I haven't read a ton of it, and so far I think I've been lucky at not coming across too many that over-dramatizes the ending of Wannabe/makes it really really cliche (i.e. he almost dies and she quickly realizes she's in love with him and has no problems in telling him right after he wakes up in the hospital bed (not really in character for those two, I think)), which is a danger in those types of situations.
