Be my mirror, my sword and shield

For the past couple of days I've really been into this one book. Many of you probably don't know, but I'm a bit of a mystery book junkie, and whenever I go to half price books I end up getting like 10 every time ;)  (BUT I almost never get around to reading all of them, so I have a nice pile of books in my room waiting to be read)

So lately I've ( Read more... )

books, personal

I had never read anything in the kind of suspense, crime, thriller type genre until I read Kathy Reich's books (for obvious reasons). I got very hooked on that suspenseful kind of writing - it's such fun to read isn't it?

That book sounds like it has a very good story to it. I shall have to look out for it!

Yeah, Kathy Reichs' books I'm hooked on :) I need to go get the next one (just finished Deadly Decisions, if I remember correctly)! It is quite fun to read, and whenever it gets to the very last climax-y part I just can't stop reading it cause I HAVE to see what happens next :D
Which one are you on?

It does have quite a good story-just finished it Friday night and the ending was quite different from anything that I had thought it would be :) Love it when that happens! ♥

Do you have anything you're reading right now (or are you too busy ;))?

Oooh, yeah, I've heard of her before once or twice but I never really knew much about her. Love the name Kay, btw. I'll have to check her out soon! What's the name of the first book?

Yes, Kathy Reichs' books! I just finished (a couple weeks ago) Deadly Decisions, so I need to go order/put on hold/get the next one :) Am loving them, as whenever I get to the climax of the book I just can't stop reading cause I have to see how it ends ;)

Thanks for the rec! :D

Oooh, look at that! Very convenient list! Yay!
I'll have to go to Half-Price books soon! :)

Half of them on the $1 shelves - AWESOME! :D

Is Cause of Death good so far?

My roomie loves her, but I've never read any. I love mystery books, but tend to go for....'cozy' mysteries, for lack of a better word: Agatha Christie, Dorothy L.Sayer etc.

And I've never actually read Kathy Reichs books either.

I haven't read any good books lately *sigh*. I've been immersed in Machiavelli's "The Discourses" for longer than I care to remember.

Ahh, yeah, I've heard of Agatha Christie. I'll have to try her sometime :)

You should totally check out Kathy Reichs books! They're really good (even though sometimes I don't quite follow the science)!

Machiavelli's "The Discourses" sounds like a big, heavy book and not super interesting. :(

Hope you get to some good books soon! :D
