It's sad that Serena has really has no mentors. She did with Ben, but now he's in jail (and she feels responsible for it). She could have with Miss Carr, but that went south.
Do any of the kids really have mentors though? Even Jenny lost hers when Eleanor moved to Paris full time. (Granted, Jenny's fashion career has been sporatic, but Eleanor was always a grounding influence for Jenny throughout seasons 1-2.)
