It kills me that the writers try to sell CB as "epic!" (and they were for 2 and 1/2 seasons) but then show Chuck being exerberantly happy with another woman.
To better clarify: there are plenty of literary, film and tv couples that are angsty and go together because they enjoy being tragic and melodramatic with each other. But, the key thing is: they don't shut off their angst when interacting with other people, be it friends or family. To have Chuck looking SOOOOO happy with Eva or Elle just undercuts the whole "brooding hero, can't be happy unless he's somber" archetype that the writers have been fashioning Chuck as for 3 seasons (in season 1, he was NOT brooding) and makes CB look less than epic because it says 'he is capable of being happy if he wants to be, he just would rather look/be/act sad when he's with Blair

Also, has he even looked close to that happy with Blair in any scenes in forever? Mostly he looks bored and contemptuous when he's with her.
If CB are supposed to be OTP (how could they be but they keep saying...), maybe someone should tell Westwick.
