I liked it better when he hung out with Chuck and yeah I think the writers are matching them on purpose.

Yeah, their interaction in last weeks episode was amusing to watch. Especially, when Eric was trying very hard not to laugh at Dan, for possibly liking Blair.

Dan and Eric actually look as if they'd be brothers. Therefore, almost dressing a lot, isn't so bad. Kind of cute, actually.
