In an effort to make sure that iheartbridges and I are truly providing a useful service with this community, we'd like to open up the floor for some more category suggestions.

What categories of fics do you go looking for? What categories have we missed? Please give some thought to those kinds of fics that you'd like to see and let us know ( Read more... )

I'm dying for a "Luke/Lorelai as parents" category. These are some of my favorite all time fics! I promise to make some recommendations in this category.

Perhaps a category on characterization? Those fics where the thoughts or dialogue are just so perfect that you could swear you actually saw it there on the TV in a real episode?

ok, for some reason i was lying in bed last night trying to think of categories and these came to mind. take them or leave them :)

- pregnant lorelai (not just L&L as parents)
- L&L have a wedding ceremony (any time frame or AU)
- smut
- favorite series (like the holiday series)
- conversations while Luke is in Maine (I guess this could fall either in season 4 or 5, but it's kind of in between)

i guess that was kind of a brainstorm, but they all came to me last night.

I saw that you've done smuff but what about just fluff? I think this would be a great category these days.

And since you've done short stories you can do long ones. Sometimes I just want to spend a whole day cozied up into one long really good fic.

Maybe tear jerkers? I know we did angst, but maybe this is a little different.

I just actually happened onto this from TWOP and noticed you were looking for more category ideas. This whole community is a really good idea, thanks for putting it together!

I've been utilizing this site again and it's been so very helpful! A couple of suggestions for new categories from me are:

-One shots (ie: Stars Are Wating by Erica Bing "http://gilmore-fiction.net/viewstory.php?sid=1957")
-LL get their 3rd kiss (ie: Reunion by sillyzilly "http://gilmore-fiction.net/viewstory.php?sid=1715")
-Stories with travel, or love out of Star's Hollow (ie: The Open Window by aliross33 "http://gilmore-fiction.net/viewstory.php?sid=1072&warning=Adult")

I realized when you posted that I hadn't updated the links list in a while. We actually had a Trip Fics category already (and The Open Window is there, as well as Stars are Watching too). We did already have a short fics category, which I think could be one-shots as well.

We haven't done a new topic in a while (obviously) but I'll keep your other idea in mind.
