A brief education in Canadian music

So, apparently, I listen to way too much Canadian music and most of my flist is lost on the casual references I make. Anyone interested in quintiessentail Canadiana, there are a few real gems here.

*w00t* for GBS! I just saw them in Buffalo last Friday and am going here in DC this Friday!! :) I agree, they're my favorite band around!

GBS will be in Winnipeg at the end of November and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Still, I'm not as wild about their newest album as I was with the last. I loved how Hard and the Easy brought it all back to the trad stuff... and I found the tune for Cod Liver Oil was the same as for an Irish song I heard this summer called Johnny Jump Up. Actually, I think Johnny Jump Up would be a very appropriate song for GBS to do. It would fit right in with Old Black Rum and Jakey's Gin :D
