One of the things that Amazon is very good at is marketing. I buy a fair amount from them, so they have an idea of what I'm interested in, or what I was interested in 10 years ago (an SF series that I bought the first two volumes of, then lost interest in, and every year or so the third volume shows up on their list of recommendations for me). I had to smile at that. I actually buy very little music these days - an occasional singer who's recorded songs I already like ... But Amazon does insist on suggesting things based on CDs I bought for my kids when they were younger, and so I get a regular diet of things that you'd have to pay me to listen to!
