This is really nice. I love the way that Myungsoo's convictions bump up against Sungyeol's practicality (not to mention Myungsoo's hesitance and Sungyeol's embrace of sponteneity)--it's a nice reflection of the way their relationship seems both really comfortable and with an undercurrent of something else that isn't comfortable at all at the same time. I totally get that Myungsoo just doesn't want his friend to settle but that Sungyeol needs his friend's support--both of their motivations were really understandable.
You did a great job conveying the atmosphere of the club without overwriting it and I like what little we saw of Sungjong; it felt very much like him, and no wonder Myungsoo is gobsmacked by him.
It’s cool and heavy in his hands and he loves it when he’s behind the lens - there is no need to be spontaneous or quiet or loud or someone you’re not. The photographer doesn’t matter; all that exists is the subject. That's a perfect couple of lines

thank you! i think sungyeol and myungsoo fit together so perfectly but their interactions are never smooth or fully straightforward and i tried to portray this here. and i think this is where sungjong comes in. he calms them both down and he smoothens their interaction but he's also the third piece of the puzzle, not quite fitting in as perfectly as myungsoo and sungyeol do together.
and yes, this is all i've written which means it is the end.
oh gosh, please don't let this be the end. such wonderful writing - the way you build their world is effortless, with such real dynamics. this was a pleasure to read.
Wow. Forgive me, but when I read host club au, I totally thought "crackfic." Instead--amazing. You've written this, completely, like, I can't even. Wait a sec

thank you so much for your analysis! it's just a joy reading this and i wanted to explore the growing up bit of it in a more atypical setting, which i picked as the host club scene. i regret not completing the sungyeol/sungjong scene(s) and fleshing the rest of myungsoo/sungyeol and myungyeoljong's dynamics but sometimes you just can't forge it out so this is the end
