I'm not sure if there is going to be any more; I think it stands alone, really. I think if I wrote anymore it might break my heart because Maya's just going to up and die, and I'm not sure what else of a story I have to tell with her, but we'll see. If I have an idea, I'll write it.
Though if you have any specific questions, I'll do my best to answer them?

But I guess what I'm getting at is that in a universe where (at least the human)characters seem to rather die than admit love for another or love for others corrupts the character, it was so nice to see these pure, simple statements of love.
I'm really glad that came through as that was something I wanted to put across with Maya. I wanted a break from the angst that we usually see and just...let her be. Simple but not boring, and in love without excuses or complications (well, from her perspective! From Laura's it's pretty darned complicated!)
However, I think your Laura is real to life by her reaction to Maya. Not because she doesn't love Maya, but because Laura loves the abstract concept of humanity more than she loves any individual human. That and Laura never truly felt like she wasn't the president anymore, I believe. ('cept maybe when she was high...) I think ( ... )

it's always the wrong gaius. was a brilliant line, just got right to the heart of Six's issues in this. I actually stopped reading and thought "wow!" And that's just one example. You do a great job communicating the thoughts and motivations of the characters.
