Oh wow! This is a fascinating piece! I've read it through a couple of times now, and it just keeps tugging at my emotions and my gut instincts every single time.

I really like how you showed the progression of Laura's emotional retreat/death through Tory's eyes like this. It was a great way of seeing into both characters.

Is there any chance I can archive a copy of this [or link to it, your choice] on the BSG page over at Frisked & Conquered?

I love the turnabout in this! so often their TRUE LOVE relationship is written as unrequited on Tory's part, but at times (like in that missing scene on which I'm sure you based this) it's Tory who's the hard one. that came across really effectively in this heartbreaking ficlet. they're quite the pair, these two. not to mention that I love the New Caprican backstory, and the way you've incorporated the fringe canon.
