I actually think it's a good thing to believe in your own work enough to ignore your beta - especially because a lot of the time, I'm like, well *I* like it better this way, but that's just me. And I would tell you if you absolutely, positively just *shouldn't* do it a certain way.

And I don't notice your using said all the time - because that's how it works! You don't even see it when you're betaing! It's amazing. But I went back and looked over the story and you're right - you use it all the time. Hee! Yay for the said!

I'm having so much fun with Tory as a character. I think her relationship with Laura is incredibly charged and complicated, and makes for a lot of reasons Laura would have sex with her outside of being in love.

Tory at this point doesn't even know the truth of herself.

my rationale for writing this in past tense is that it could be from the POV of future-Tory, after she finds out she's a cylon. that's pretty subtle in this fic, though, and I plan to make it more obvious as the series progresses.
