The tone is a little tense, but otherwise flat, and the faint crinkling of a wrapper sounds in the background like static.

Dexter's brow is probably arched. Hysterically enough, there's the sound of crinkling coming from his own end of the phone, though what kind of wrapper it is is unknown.
