This is a very sudden transition from my own bedside to a patch of sand on the other side of the island. Perhaps anyone has any notion as to what to giant ants might have thought to do with a man-sized glass cocoon?

awake now, sand in hair oh noes, c: above, event: giant ants lol, c: sniper, what is this i don't even, c: cephiro, c: youth, c: krile, how is he so calm

Maybe they thought you were a pupa. You don't need a pickup, right?

[There's a suspicious inkdrop before the words appear.]

It would be a kindness.

All right, all right. Where is this?

On the very tip of Melee Island, on the side far from my house. I wonder if they meant to throw me over.

Gui-Cephiro's notion is appreciated but somewhat cryptic.

I thought it was a rhetorical question.

It may have to be, alas. The minds of ants are unfathomable.

You were carried off in a co

[Okay, besides the point even if that is a HILARIOUS MENTAL IMAGE]

Need some help?

I do not believe so, thank you. The greatest challenge facing me now is getting the sand out of my hair.

Hey, at least you don't have the luck I had when I got covered in that sand. I just fell out of the clone-cocoon goo and straight into sand. Not a good combination.

The ants are pretty pathetic, but I think they might be poisonous anyway, so be careful.

[Okay the mental image is a bit hilarious, but he is Very Polite.]

A sticky situation, indeed.

I may reassure you that I have no intent of disturbing the ants. Do you have, perhaps, any experience as to what they prefer to eat?

...Perhaps they thought it was a giant egg.

It seems almost cruel to disappoint them.

If they were the normal ants that have invaded before and not sick or injured, you would be dead right now and eaten. I think it is better to keep disappointing them.

It is intriguing that Gai-jūn refers to any type of giant invading ants as 'normal'.

[A brief pause.]

No doubt there is a heroic tale therein that I must hear.

Are you okay? Are the ants still there?

I am well: thankfully, I can move through the bamboo woods with far greater ease than they. What unfortunate things.

That's a relief. I do almost feel bad for them--they look awful.

If they are merely passing through, I should hope that most residents would be content to avoid rather than attack them.
