A thousand pardons for my absence these past few days, Amurui-qiánbeì, and to any other that I may have unwittingly caused concern to. I have not been entirely well, but am recovered, and shall promptly return to my work.

Though I don't agree that just waiting will bring the solution to this problem in a way that people will be happy with, you have a point about the self-inflicted wounds.

Only one person has tried to get it off violently so far--he survived at least, and his example should show the others that it's a bad idea to begin with that doesn't even work anyway.

Calmly looking for a way to remove them without hurting the person they're on seems like our only option right now.

I must respectfully disagree. As I have said: it is unwise to equate the removal the outward sign, with the removal of the mark and its consequences. Our best option is rather to consider what these consequences may be, and attempt to prepare accordingly.

But getting it off is a step foward! And progress is progress. It gives hope.

Patience is a virtue, but not trying is not patience.

It may not do anything. But there is no way to know if you do not try.

No, not to know; but to make a logical guess. You have a limited amount of time. It should not be spent in pointless directions.

You've caused me to think.

All we have is time.

We have information, as well, and connections; but essentially, yes.
