Subject: Joan Watson/Marcus Bell
Title: Alright With Me
Warnings/Notes: Mild spoilers for the series so far. (Also photoshop hates me tonight so I apologize for the ugly brown background for the mix covers.)
Joan Watson and Marcus Bell are both characters on the modern day Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary. Joan Watson is Sherlock's fellow detective/sober companion/friend/etc. Marcus Bell is a detective with the NYPD who often works on the cases that Joan and Sherlock consult on.
Joan and Marcus start off as colleagues, but as the series progresses they become friends and at one point Joan even refers to him as "family". Even when Marcus is frustrated with Sherlock, he is always kind and courteous to Joan and seeks her out if he needs help. During the second season, Marcus gets shot, and Joan goes to visit him in the hospital, makes him dinners he can re-heat, and checks on his progress often. Both Joan and Marcus show genuine concern for each other throughout the series, and their friendship continues to grow with every episode. Though they aren't in a relationship on the show as of yet, it seems (I hope) that the writers are quite possibly shifting those characters in that direction. And they really should because it would be glorious.
