There's "Bless You!" by Cleverdevil. It's a lighthearted story, and not too long. I'm not sure if you've already read it though.

http://midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=324. They are definitive more about serious illnesses, but they have a very sick Justin and a totally adorable taking-charge-and-showing-his-love to Justin, Brian.

They are both written by sapphire 3. The Sequel "Abide with me" is one of my all time favourites!

's Only Time series has one part that has Justin fighting meningitis. Beliefs is the sixth part of the series, starting with Plans. I don't think you have to read the previous parts for Beliefs to make sense, but you should, because they're good.

Pulse Point is an AU, with Brian as a surgeon and Justin as a paramedic. He gets hurt in this. This is also by Xie. This one is a bit darker, but trust me, Xie is a woobie. It'll be okay. lol
