Hi there.

I recently discovered QAF while reading a J2 fic that mentioned it in passing and curiosity led me to looking it up and now I simply love the show, especially B/J. I would like some "must read" recs please.

xie-xie-xie's "Only Time" series is phenomenal. It picks up where the show leaves off and is brilliantly characterized and wonderfully written. It is what happens after the last episode ends, in my eyes. All of Xie's fiction is fabulous actually. Her fic index is here on InsaneJournal. She posts all of her fiction to LJ as well as IJ.

I also love severina2001's fics, all of suzvoy's QAF fics, and vamphile's fics. A couple of other great authors who have left the fandom but kept their fic available on their own websites are Rhiannonhero and Ethan (aka xhaleslowly).

There are too many fantastic writers in the QAF fandom to even come close to naming them all. The memories here are a good place browse around like sakesushimaki said and should help you figure out the kinds of fics you like.

Also, I'll recommend a community on IJ called qaf_retread. It started out here on LJ and you can still find the old posts with recs and links at qaf_retread. The new rec posts are all posted on the IJ community though ( ... )

Yes. It will be completed. Someday. I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I really never meant to abandon it halfway finished but... life happens, I guess. I realize it's been most of a year but I have been very busy with school. I still am but I really do want to write the rest of it. I need to find the way to make the time.

I'm happy to hear there's still someone interested after all this time!

Life certainly does happen and as you are the one doing all the hard work of writing no one can hold it against you. But don't think that no one's interested anymore! I'm sure I'm not alone.

Can I ask what J2 is?

Here's a variety for you to choose from:

Reason to Believe by Tammy is an amnesia!Brian story.

No More Ugly Naked Guy by darksylvia a QAF/Friends crossover. You only need to have seen at least one episode of Friends for this to be hilarious.

Mart Miracles by rei_of_writing a story with Claire's point of view featuring Brian/Justin and Gus.

PsychoFic by laylafic is a complete novel. If you can read Stephen King you can read Psycho Fic.

A QAF/Friends fic? Interesting. Imagine Brian and Chandler in a room for more then 5 minutes. Hilarity is sure to ensue.

I'm still finding my way in the QAF fandom so I haven't read much, but I would love to read some, if you have some recs or links where I can find great G/R fics.
