I joined LJ just so I can search for fics with this community after lurking for more than a year. The fic I'm looking for was not, as I recall, on FF.net, AO3 or Midnight Whisphers. The only fic I know where Ben goes to Tibet and Michael goes to Hollywood is the Songs in the Key of Love1& sequels by the talented Rizabeau. You can find it here: http://gihfics.kinnetiks.net/QAF/Fics/by%20Authors/R/Rizabeau/
It's primarly Brian and Justin. At some point Justin goes to Italy.

I read that one a while ago at ATP and just went back to look at it. I don't think that is it. I recall it being more canon compliant, but Justin wanted to stay with Brian post cancer and work on their relationship. Don't remember if the Liberty Ride was part of it or not. Michael went to pitch the idea with Brett. And I don't think it was so obviously Anti-Michael (not that I have anything against Anti-Michael). Thanks though.

I know there's one on MW that has Mikey going to Cali for Rage and Ben leaving him for Em, cause he thinks Mikey is cheating on him. It has a banner that fits with what you described it to look like. Only I'm sorry, I can't remember who wrote :(

Check and see if this it the one you are looking for. It has an apartment building as the banner. Ben and Emmett do get together while Michael is in LA working on Rage. Most of your comment seems to fit except that I don’t think Ben goes to Tibet at least I don’t remember that part.

yeah that's the one I was talking about, but Ben doesn't go to Tibet. He stays in the Pitts.
