Daphne snubs Justin

Long time ago I read a story (absolutely no idea what or by whom) and in part of the story Daphne has gotten in with a rich crowd, I think through marriage. She runs into Justin (in a New York club or restaurant, I believe) and either refuses to acknowledge him or otherwise insults him because she doesn't want her friends to know she was his friend
