The Kindred Series

Jun 02, 2013 13:34

It has taken me years, but I finally finished reading The Kindred Series by Maleficent.  It ended after the third part -- right at a cliffhanger. Was it ever completed?

Edit: It was never completed.

scifi/fantasy/supernatural/mythology, b/j vampires, author: maleficient, abandoned wip, crossover: buffy or angel

I found an older post about this series here http://getithere.livejournal.com/1915008.html It says it's not finished, but if you scroll done to the second to the last comment there is part 4 here http://goo.gl/O5eDB (url shortened cuz it was huge). I glanced at the last chapter and it doesn't seem to be finished. She has a LJ here http://maleficent4evil.livejournal.com/ but hasn't posted since Aug 2010. Maybe a PM to her? I hope this helps.

Thank you, Bluecat. I wished I had known about it ending the way it did.

I always, ALWAYS peek at the last paragraph before reading a story. I'd rather deal with a spoiler than an unfinished fic.

I was burned a few times in my early QAF fandom days and swore 'never again!' :-(

You are so right. I have forgotten. I have read too many stories where a character (mostly Justin) is beaten and abused or mistreated, only to find out the story didn't leave off at a resolution of said abuse, or did end only with the situation even worse. I was hoping that even it the story was never completed that it would end at a good spot. I have stuck my hand in the flame too often. I have learned my lesson.

I do hate the ending to be spoiled, but I will only read from the beginning to end of authors I trust.

Oh who am I fooling. I'll probably be back next week asking about the ending to another fic, LOL. But I'll do my best to stay out of trouble. ;)

Thank you, Wisc99, for reminding me.
