Brian/Other, Justin/Other but NOT Anti/Justin, Anti/Brian

Jun 21, 2012 12:36

Hi, I've looked through the tags and read some, but can anyone suggest fics where maybe Brian and Justin don't end up together (initially) but move on and find other loves and happiness and remain friends, maybe even get back together in the end..  Absolutley no anti/Justin or anti/Brian fic.  I've read The Other Foot by Simon(what Justin was that ( Read more... )

reunion fic: general, author: justinlovesart, pairing: justin/other, death: original character, author: bdeviled, anti-brian, anti-justin, b/j w/other to start but end up together, b/j thinks the other is or may be dead, amnesia fic, abandoned wip, b/j don't end up together, plane/train/boat crash or disappearance, author: sungaizing85 aka butterscotch, pairing: brian/other with emo attachment, pairing: justin/other w/ emo attachment, author: predec2, post-513, pairing: brian/other, author: cheburashka2

Check out "Full Circle" by bdeviled. One of my faves of all time! It's a forever WIP, but it ends in a good place. (Sorry about not giving a link, but I'm commenting from my phone.)

"Absolutley no anti/Justin or anti/Brian fic."

I feel you. I love Justinlovesart's story because it was exactly what I was looking for. There was another one I read but cannot remember the name or author. If I ever find it, I will post it. In the meantime, Cheburashka2's Persistence of Memory is an excellent one:

The problem with /other stories is that someone is usually considered the bad person when they breakup the relationship. Think Justin leaving for Ethan.

There is probably a BJ/other tag to look under also.

I found the tags; I just can't link them:

pairing: brian/other, pairing: justin/other and then there's pairing: Brian/other, paring w/emo and one for Justin.

Thanks for the suggestions NTUA, Natkinnat and SandraJ60. I'll check them out. @SandraJ60, you're right. That's my problem with so many other stories. It's totally realistic that first loves don't always end up together, so I don't mind reading them, but so many B/J other stories make one or the other a villain or a lifelong basket case, instead of just a natural progression of life's twists and turns. I am however a total B/J ending up happily ever after girl, but I can appreciate that you may have other experiences in love in your life, so I like those stories too

You're welcome, but GAH, I forgot about one that will really turn you on your heels and it may not be listed with the tags. It is Needle Cushion by Sungaizing:

http://sungaizing85.livejournal.com/22352.html or on queerasfiction just in case the indigo background bothers you:

This is an unbelievable Justin/other you should not miss. I won't give away the ending, but you won't be disappointed.

Happy reading!

I have to got to go to work the vampire shift and was checking to see where they were sending me when I took a gander at this site. You're welcome to Sean and Vin. I only rec the best, LOL.

Now, I did not want to give away Sungaizing's story. One of the reasons the story is so good is that it is not exactly what you expected. I enjoyed the surprise at the end. DON"T SPOIL IT PEOPLE! (Sorry, I get so emotional about that, :))

Cheburashka2's story was different in that I cursed one character for the breakup and thought it justified, until I read the end.

Oops! Gotta go.

Hey Vin,

I meant to say how sorry I was to hear about your bad day at work. Don't let them get to you. There's too many ldiots out there to avoid, so you just have to rise above them. I tell myself this as I try to get through my day.

Thank God for fanfiction.

Maybe you could make yourself some of that irish coffee that Brian is so fond of in so many fics, grab some stories, and forget about the day. And if you see something in the news about a nurse trying to strangle a doctor with his own stethoscope...;)

It wasn't so much bad as extremely long and unbelievably frustrating. I actually LOVE my job and I haven't had a day like that one in a couple of months. So by comparison it seemed "bad", but was just more annoying and tiring than usual. Your rec, though, improved my exhausted spirits considerably and truly made my day.

I hope you had a good night at work and the doctor you wanted to strangle didn't aggravate you too badly.

Cheers,
Vin

P.S. When you say "Thank God for fanfiction", I heartily second that! I wish I could embroider, cause I would so make a decorative pillow with that saying beautifully stitched that I could hug at night. On second thought... I'd embroider Brian Kinney naked on one side and Justin Taylor on the other side of a big body pillow and have myself a threesome... Ah, dreams... LOL!
