Point Counterpoint by Randall & Cael

Feb 11, 2012 12:55

Does any one have this in it's entirety. It use to be archived, but has since disappeared. I know that you can read the whole thing through the journals, justintheartist and brianakinney, but that requires switching back and forth. (I'm being lazy I know) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think they were in pdf format, some of them were also in word doc format.

EDIT ( Read more... )

rpg: point-counterpoint, download: gih fic folder link @sidebar, abandoned wip, download: wayback link in comments, author: cael, author: randall aka randall morgan

I'm no help, but I hope someone can add them to our GIH Fic Folder because I'm with Patty in being a lazy reader. I'd love to be able to read it on my Kindle.

I think I found it through the way back machine, It is not complete though. I'm copying the doc files to my computer right now. The others will have to be copied from the journals. That is going to require a lot of work.

As far as I know, it was never finished. They just stopped and left us hanging.

It was never finished. But without the archive, it is very difficult to read. If We can get what is done all on word, then I will get it all into one document and covert it into the different file formats and upload it into our 4shared account here.

When you upload it, can you note in the title that it's unfinished? I hate getting involved with a story and then finding that it just... stops. :(

Oh wow, Patty. I was hoping that someone would have had those saved somewhere. I remember you asking me about them before, but I had never read it. Let me know if you want help piecing it all together, as I'm sure it's going to be a lot of work.

I haven't went through the rest of the post yet, I will need to figure it all out. I just finished up the individual Word Docs, that are in the archive, Text files work for some of it, I will combine those all into one document I think, then figure out the rest. I will finish up 2006 as best I can, then we will go from there. Right now I am looking in justintheartist journal to see what I can find for the rest of 2006. I haven't gotten to the other journal yet.

I figure the best way to get what is left to do right is to have the online archive open then copy and paste each one of the post individually. So we have them in the correct order. There is not really a lot after that date. And not everything pertains to the story.

Well, as I said, I'm willing to help you if you want it. It would be nice to have it all nicely tied together. It would have been nice if was linked all together so you didn't have to search through them to make sure it was correctly ordered.

From what I can tell it is pretty much all archived. I just checked the other journal. April 2006-2009 are not in Word docs though after October of 2006. but there are only about 10 post between the to journals. So it shouldn't be to bad. Famous last words right. :)

I have a Word document with all the Point/Counterpoint entries up until Dec. 23, 2006. I think I downloaded it from one of the DL Lost Fic links in the sidebar. I uploaded what I have to the GIH 4shared folder here: http://www.4shared.com/office/2a0kt4l0/Point_-_Counterpoint_by_Randal.html

It's a pretty hefty file at over 2,400 pages, but hopefully it helps you out...

Thank you, I just finished uploading it all to my computer from the website. I've put it all in one document and converted it to pdf and epub. I will upload those tomorrow.

OK - I was hoping to save you some work, but I guess I was a little late to the party... Please feel free to delete my upload once you do, so that everyone can have the most complete/up to date file. ;-)

If you got up to december of 2006 you probably got just about the same thing. There were only 2 post in 2007. I think I got those. I will download what you put up and compare it with what I was able to do today. Lol...It is a huge file. It's a shame that it never was finished. I guess they just burned themselves out on it. They started it in 2004.
