Hi! I'm new. I've looked through tags and memories of what I thought may have these sorts of stories with no real luck. Anyway, I am wondering if there are any stories where Justin seems to get like neglected by the family. I understand the desire to protect your work, but can I ask a few questions? Are you stating that you'll only friend people who friend you first? Do you plan on offering people a "sample" if you will of your work so they can decide whether they want to add you to their list or not? Do they have to add you in order to read your work or are you willing to friend them if they ask?

I'm willing to friend if asked. I'm thinking about keeping my one-shots and drabbles public for people to read, that way they can sample my writing, but the longer stuff is going to be friend-locked.

That sounds pretty reasonable, and hopefully you'll provide a header of some sort to let your audience know what you are writing about, pairings, etc. (Even on a master list, a summary is a gem.)

Like the person below me, I'm not sure what your stories would be about, and your journal offers no insight to that either. My question stemmed from the fact that I personally, won't be adding anyone to my f-list any time in the near future, but I know there are others that don't like adding a large variety of people in order to keep their f-list manageable.

Yeah, I understand that. I'm still working out some bugs and stuff with my journal and working on getting things up on it.

That is why I went with a username that could be picked out by QAF fans, but yeah, I'm still working on some things so people know. Everything on my journal will be for QAF and mostly Brian/Justin stories with others mixed in from time to time.

Not really, actually. I am way more Brian/Justin and mostly Anti-Michael but taylorkinney and kinneytaylor were already taken when I was trying to think of a name and I actually like the name Novotny.

FYI, I think some people are going to assume you're a Brian/Michael shipper. I did. You could lose some people that way, so like someone else said, I'd put up a friending banner and make it clear that you're not. Actually, I'd post it in a few places!

Plus I was going to comment that since you appear to be a new writer with nothing available to sample it will be harder to build up a readership. As a reader I would like something to sample like a chapter or two to see if I like the story and also to check out your writing in general ( ... )

Well go right ahead and read "Need You Now". I have the first three chapters up on the journal and its public. I've decided to forget about the f-lock.
