What are some some absolute reads?
AU's only, please. And I've read a lot of the stories that interest me on this site so..

I did this search the other week. I don't know if it's the same. But I was looking for must-reads for post 513 and I asked for AU's.

What kind of AU's are you looking for? Are you looking for something that stays sorta true to the TV show AU's or are you looking for historic AU's?

I was looking for AU's that are either sort of similar to the show, or that rear off into them meeting a different way, or in a different time period (high school, post 5/13)

Okay, I've got an idea of what you are looking for. Here are some of my personal favorites! You may or may not have read these already.

The Candidate and it's sequel Mayor Kinney by Thyme. A what would happen if Brian ran for mayor in Season 3.

The Angel Stream by gaedhal. Justin goes to Dartmouth and meets Brian a different way. This fic is really long.

Someone Like You by inner_justin. Justin is a prostitute on the streets of New York and Brian takes a liking to him without knowing what Justin does for a living.

There's one that I like that I think is a bit different from most stories out there. It's called "Sad, Sad Story" by thuswithakiss; you can probably guess from the title that there's no real happily ever after, and it is mpreg, so be warned.
