Some music is too good not to be shared. This is a a hidden gem. Something truly precious.

Look at that GQMF.

And that... female version of that acronym.

But mostly the guy.

This is John Paul White.

He is part of a "band" (meaning, him and Joy Williams and a guitar and sometimes a piano) called The Civil Wars.

He also has a solo album.

I am going to put some links out right here, and y'all are going to click them, because THAT GUY, and THESE PEOPLE are just too mindblowingly good to not know about and share.

http://pixelmuzikstore.com/john-paul-white - JPW's solo album can be purchased here for $10, as a CD or download. It's REALLY FUCKING GOOD... I would describe it as the magical lovechild of Keane and Velvet Revolver, except I played it for a friend of mine who said she didn't like either of those bands but loved this... so idk, it's fabulous shit, BUY IT.

http://www.myspace.com/thecivilwars - This is The Civil Wars on MySpace. On there, whether you have an account or not, you can watch a few music videos they've made. I linked to "Poison & Wine" a few posts back in a locked entry, but it deserves mention again for being a song that did something to me unlike any music I've ever heard... it just fucking owned my SOUL. Their rendition of "Dance Me to the End of Love" is also just gorgeous... and if you don't know that song (I know it intimately [covered by other bands] for reasons I am not going to explain in a public post ;D ), you really need to. ALSO, from this page, you can DOWNLOAD THEIR ALBUM FOR FREE. AND YOU REALLY SHOULD.

JPW, The Civil Wars, and Joy Williams are all on Twitter, as... logically... @ TheCivilWars, @ johnpaulwhite, and @ joywilliams.

The Civil Wars have a Facebook page here but I seriously just fail at Facebook and can't figure out how to "follow" them or whatever on there so... yeah. Facebook. Some people can use it. I can't. XD
However, HERE is John Paul White on Facebook, which does have a handy and obvious "Become a fan" button...

So, my people. Click. Listen. Love. And pass it on. These people need to be more than a Tennessee nightclub couple with a song that got played on Gray's Anatomy once. They must be embraced. Spread the love, people, spread the love.
