My therapist suggested I might try journaling again, as a way to just... get stuff out. She meant a private journal, which I will do, but I was thinking about it and figured I might try to use LJ again sometimes, too

The solution to the lonelyarcher problem is clearly to get you and imthelobster up here. Philly/NYC is lovely this time of year! Not quite as nice as New England, I'll grant you, but I bet we have more fall than you have down there. :P
I encourage both journaling more and going to therapy. I know I will frequently work things out on LJ and then go talk to my therapist about them further. It's often a nice way to figure out what I want to say and what's most bothering me and then get the opportunity to talk about those specific things instead of just rambling to her. I hope you get more comfortable with it and find it beneficial.
