[Khydann - OOC] swerving around conflict

Dec 23, 2008 12:11

Sooo, Khy has this thing where her adopted daughter Zek has been DKed, and it's all awkward, and I don't know what to do about it. ( Wibble. )

Yep, you should. I'm interested to see if Khy's still going to try to be there for Zekie, or if she's going to turn tail and run.

Also curious to find out what's going on deep inside poor Zek's head, now.

Zek needs more play-time, by the by. >_>

Zek will get more play-time! now that Khy is 80, after I go to my new schedule which will allow me to play Zek at times when other people are available for RP. ;)

Though the image of Rosh going into battle with a tauren baby on his back still cracks me up. "Do spinny thing! Wheee!!"

Best Post Evar!

Oh man... the ghost of Ehawe would kill him soooo bad.... XD

"Damn it, Rosh! We went THROUGH this with that orc boy you were taking care of! NO KIDS IN BATTLE!"

*eeeheheheheheheheee* Khy could probably get away with it more easily, being not so much of a front-line fighter, but yeah, it would drive her crazy with nervous. I'll have to put more thought into this whole Proudwolf situation. ;)

If I could draw, I would totally draw this. With the baby holding a little wooden sword, peering over Rosh's head and gnawing on his horn, and beating him over the head with the sword. "WANT SPINNY THING!!"

It is difficult to set up a story/meeting between two characters on the same account, but it's also rewarding in it's own little ways. If you think you can do it, then go for it - I'm rather curious on how this one could play out. /attentive

I sort of did it with Melikyen and Salyssa - Mel was an invalid at the time, for various reasons, and a couple of other characters brought Sal to the Exodar so they could talk. I planted Mel in the inn ahead of time, then went in with Sal, then had Sal go over and talk to "Mel" in one of the beds. Most of which the other two characters couldn't hear, so I was mostly kind of mumbling it to myself. And then Mel slapped Sal. XD

I'm very tempted to try RPing it out in-game somehow first; I think that'll give me a more immediate idea of how they will react than writing it in story form.

I have a very, very similar thing going on with my own Wheeler siblings right now. I've always been better at dialogue than anything else - in high school my narrative writing was terrible, but even then my dialogue was great - so I decided to turn myself over to the dialogue and write conversations between the two, mostly taking place on top of Warsong Hold, that were not meant for anybody but me. You can get a little bit of a feel in their journals that they're in regular contact. I intend for them to have a major impact on each other. It just all happens in Notepad rather than in-game, and giving up on making it presentable means there's a lot more output than if I was writing them as proper stories.

Oooo... I like this idea. Hmm. I'll have to give it a try. I think taking the pressure off myself to make it, as you say, "presentable," will help me actually make it happen. ;) Thank you for this!
