A day ın Goreme

We have flown and bussed our way to Goreme. Now we are talkıng Bıblıcal. I had heard about the cone shaped geology that people lıved ın, but dıd not realıze ıt had been goıng on for 2000 years. It all sounds fascinating. Please describe Ramadan dinner. What were the courses? Did you know what you were eating? Did the women cook the meal? When the calls to prayer occur, do only the men go? Or are the women allowed to go as well?

Nothing new here. We are reading about the US Senate vote to censure Turkey. Do you see any fallout from it there?

Ramadan dinner involves a lot of cold food to start with which is sitting there when you arrive. Than we wait until sunset and eat. There were many more courses, chicken covered in sauce, salad (which we do not eat- do not trust it.) And always, I think, baclava. The food here is generally quite plain and a bit too oıly. The food is served by men-İ am unsure who cooks it. You see few women working ( ... )
