I was in a class on advanced optics taught by Jack (a good friend who is a brilliant PhD chemist and probably also knows more about optics than I ever will). You have learned in the past from your life, friends, mentors, and your own experiments (etc).
Your present is also amazing, with growth and friends and intersting projects.
You're just worried about the future. Do we have the skills to deal with the challenges that are coming? We are all worried.
It sounds like the dream reminded you of all of the people things you appreciate and enjoy. Maybe that's the focus, or what should be focused on.
