30 Hour Famine

Aug 25, 2008 19:29

I SURVIVED THE 30 HOURS. After the first few (eight?) hours, it really wasn't that bad. Your stomach starts to go into denial and you don't feel the hunger that much anymore. I was pretty sleepy on both days. Couldn't sleep well on Friday night for some reason.

My report is very very long. -_-; )

darwin is wrong again, rl rants, hugs are good, 30 hour famine

That really, really sucks! I hate your main committee members, whoever they are! That's so mean, making you slog and not recognizing your effort and hard work. >< Were there a lot others who were also demoted to being just volunteers? D: Anyway, I know how tough it was for you preparing for the event. You really did do a great job. ^^

lol I didn't know that there was gonna be a countdown and that the famine wasn't over yet so also around 4.03, I ter-ate two pieces of Koko Krunch. Felt bad about that, but hey, I saw people already so openly eating and drinking the stuff at around 3.45. :P

And yes, everything was so Chinese-oriented. What's up with that? You know my friend's Maldivian, right? She was pretty annoyed that she couldn't understand what was being said more than half the time. And me too. Heh.

And I saw your friend and her bf sitting together on the stairs at 2am and she was holding a bouquet of flowers. I didn't know they were a couple. XD;;

Yeah. -_-; The program team ppl who weren't leaders of the subcommittee. Thanks!

Sorry about the lopsidedness. ._. That's also something I'll be bringing up during post mortem as well. Not good to ignore the english speakers, oi.

I find that that's always a problem with bilingual events. Somehow or other the chinese side overpowers the english. Either due to the English emcee's lacking in command of the language or the fact that chinese is just LOUD.

I've seen it happen before and I always feel so bad for the ones who couldn't understand what they were saying. =_=

*pats* Poor baby. At least you have the thought that you won't ever have to do promotions again to make it all better?

*gives you pretty cake/icon to make you feel better*
