 I feel like...I don't know what I feel like. Something chaotic. I'm sitting at the dining table. Computer's on on my right, oblique to the table edge. There are some legal pads underneath it and behind it. I wonder what it is exactly I like about this book. I suppose I like the setting, even if it is a little depressing...okay, a lot depressing. It's a dreary miserable moor with rather miserable people. Wuthering Heights itself is rather dank and grimy. I like Thrushcross Grange. It makes me feel warm and sheltered. I love this book immensely, despite its length. It's great because even though it's such a big-ass book, you don't get bored with it because the author is so fucking brilliant. Apparently he's got a new book coming out, Quicksilver which is going to have "familial connections" I believe, to Cryptonomicon. Pity ( Read more... )
