...but in a good way.

I've taken up Capoiera, a type of Brazilian martial art (non-contact unless you get accidentally kicked in the head like boomzilla!)

Its fantastic fun, the class is friendly, the instructor cool and its great exercise.

Capoiera is great!!!
I've been wanting to do it since... I saw some cool shit this old guy do, years ago, but it's all dreams and maybe-laters.
I hope you learn some great tricks.
Where are you doing it, if you don't mind me asking? I know a few instructors in a coupla schools around Melbourne.

Um, the instructors name is Christov (sp?) and the class is in a hall on the corner of Nepean Hwy and Chapel Street, St Kilda-ish. Heaps of fun so far - went again last night & I am tre sore again! I managed to get big blisters on the bottom of both of my big toes!!!
Definetely need to toughen up the soles of my feet!

so far I just feel unco and inflexible - a lot of the people in the class have been doing it for years and the instructor isn't very patient with newbies, at least he wasn't last night. But I'm determined to do lots of practice in the park and prove him wrong!
