So it turns out that the local animal shelter will cremate your furbaby for free if you don't want ashes back, and I don't, because YEARS of having the urns of my grandmother, sister, and step-father watch me from the mantel as I watched TV, yeah, no, thankyouanyway. So yeah. I cried and was embarrassing as hell and dunt care cause real feelings

I'm glad the people at the shelter were kind and that it has that free service.
Fur babies stay with us whether we see them or not. May you always have fond memories.

thank you, yes, the shelter people were so kind, I mean, I was obviously crying and a mess and all, but they really were compassionate and understanding as I am hugging a box to my chest that contained my blankie wrapped furkid and crying behind my mask ( Yeah I still mask because autoimmune issues ) so while others might have pointed and laughed, they let me take my time and were very kind. I appreciated it.
