KK is doing better, gets stitches out tomorrow, yay. I have eaten many buttermilk drops and denied myself daiquiris because meds, gah. I have made casseroles and salads and yum. And in a few days I will be home again in old Wyoming where my kitty and my mom miss me and I am missing them. And my mom and my aunt got together and fixed up my bed

Tastee Donuts has all McKenzie's recipes and buttermilk drops are super sized donut holes with glaze and OMG good and I am actually in Metairie near the airport (Veteran's and Transcontinental) not far from the Lake. I usually spend a day in the Quarters but not this trip as I am cooking yummy things for my friend and can't walk all day like I used to (dear lord, run on AND end with to, this sentence is fail). Next trip will be about daiquiris again.

They sound great, and I wouldn't turn them down. I count Metairie as being almost a part of the city, so you're really there.

Normally we go see a lot of city places but this trip is not touristy it's family, and it has been a good visit.
