Before y'all flip out, no I did NOT bring the Tornado to Louisiana. Wasn't me, didn't do it. We are fine, it was nowhere near us. I woke up when the thunderstorm hit and thought to myself, 'huh, gullywasher', rolled over and went back to sleep. Woke up again to flooded streets and horribleness. But all is well in our house.

I had noticed the day before that the canal was the lowest I'd ever seen it run, and then OMG!Storm and they were full to street level and I wondered what would have happened if I'd said anything out loud about the water and/or lack thereof. Oops. KK has already told me to stop manifesting stuff. I know, I know. *grin*

The last time I was in NOLA was with some friends from high-and-dry Reno, NV. We were standing in the Quarter, below sea level with an almost triple digit humidity, and SM took a deep breath and said, "I can feel the air." I just kind of nodded, and she said, "No, I can feel the air. In my lungs!"

Still, it was a great time.

I went through a massive rainstorm about two hours ago here in Georgia. I hope that you were able to partake in some of the Mardi Gras parades without being rained out. And glad to hear that you guys are safe. :)

On Tuesday morning there were about three drops o rain and it was lovely all day, cloudy and cool and not so humid that I wanted to die, so it was ALL GOOD!!! I hope you are having a fun time and staying safe. *hugs*
