my dearest J

my, ah, college slampiece fuckbuddy friend with benefits friend, had this to say, I record it to remember later...

I will tell you something, for what it is worth: For 20 years, when the chance came up, I have described you as one of the most sensual and passionate people I ever ran across, one who had no idea of what her allure was all about. I ( Read more... )

Well, I don't know about reality stepping sideways, as I believe you posted yesterday (i just found that). I knew that at some point, our paths would cross again... well I hoped, at least.

Your tribute is welcome, and how you refer to me brought a smile to my face. I am reminded of how we never understand the impact that we have upon the people around us as we pass through this life. Just by simple, actions we start a whole range of possibilities. I fear that you attribute to much to me in a time when you were learning yourself, I just pointed possible directions and you found your way.

I gave you the missive, "for what it's worth", because I have discovered that too many people do not say the things to people that they ought to know until it is too late. I am just glad that I was able to finally pass it on and make you smile again. I guess I should have just waited, posted it here and really surprised you in front of your fans.

To long ago nights, candles, wicked rum drinks, and hearts that didn't know any better.

The beauty is in the not knowing our impact, I think. And really, I didn't know yours on me until so much later. And that was as it should be, perhaps, too. I never would have had the confidence to look for my way had you not coaxed a timid girl out of her shy ways. (Not words used to describe me much these days, but true then)

And you do continue to surprise, my dear, you do.

Yes, to long ago nights and wickedness and hearts that find their ways.

*much affection*

Well, I always say wheresoever two or more gather in my name...well, let that meeting come alive. Memories wait to be made, so that when we get old and are allowed to be foolish we can smile for no apparent reason.

*laugh*

Hopefully, we are not as old now as we will one day be, creaking joints aside. There are worse things to keep us warm.
