That's all pretty sad.

I'm glad that I'm fairly close to my three siblings, but I don't know that it would have continued to be this way if my mother weren't still alive. Of the three, I really have things in common with just one, the other two have possibilities that I would have to drag out and I'm not sure I have the energy to do it.

Maybe I am selfish for no longer being willing to make the effort to keep in touch with my lost relatives, but you know, I only have so much anymore, so much time, so much energy, so much emotional stamina. I use it where I feel it is best put, I suppose.
