What was I thinking...

...calling my mom? Mom has decided to give me her ginormous tree because it is too big for her to put up and what all with her arthritis and like that, so I called to see if she wanted my small tree for the holiday, but she has already gotten a smaller replacement, so now I have two trees. And if you think I am not putting both up, you have ( Read more... )

Not only do you have two holiday trees, which is awesome -- you have used the correct term: "You have another think coming."

For this I shower you with my undying affection!

shit like that can never be called good, unless it was someone who was constantly giving a lot of grief to others who decided to off themselves, but even then it is sad to see someone think that the only way to cope with things is to reach an end. Many people believe that death is not the end, but until we get there we'll never know. So, from my perspective, even though I believe there is something (though I have no idea what) after this life, it is very sad to just give it away.

It is twice as sad when the man's nephew would give anything to have those years that were thrown away so casually. But have I mentioned that this family is rather strange? My uncle is the youngest one and he and his mom lived on a ranch when he was a teenager, she was the cook and he lived in the bunkhouse with the hired hands, and one day he woke up and she was gone. She had quit her job and fucking abandoned him there. WTF? And his siblings, all but the one who just shot himself, washed their hands of him when he got sick years ago(he had a stroke when he was only in his early 40s, it is some genetic fuckup with his blood), in fact my uncle's sister encouraged my aunt to divorce him since he could no longer take care of her and the kids and was dependant on them for everything. And that is the family my brothers spring from, and so it is no wonder that when our father died, I disappeared off their radar ( ... )
