This one is for spicedrum, who asked for my thoughts on the upcoming book and all things HP. You wouldn't think I would need a push - I've been meaning to sit down and compose this ever since my first reread of HBP. But I kept stalling, and I think I finally know why (other than being daunted by how much I want to say, and how long it would take to type it

I was gonna reread HBP before commenting, but I can't find the stupid book, so there goes that idea!

I really like the idea of the scar being a horcrux. The scar can be destroyed to finish off the last bits of Voldemort's splintered soul, leaving the rest of Harry to be decidedly Not Dead. And he won't have to worry about people seeing his scar and instantly recognizing him any more.
