I wrote a bunch of drabbles for my flist for Christmas - which ended up including three George/Alex pieces. Enjoy, and merry Christmas!
Title: Christmas Party
Rating: G
Summary: Alex turns up to the hospital's Christmas party. George is drunk, and mistletoe is involved.
Notes: for
alichica886Alex wasn't even sure why he was coming to this thing: a Christmas party. That was lame enough. But add to that the fact that it was this hospital's Christmas party, and you just had something incredibly lame.
Especially seeing as it was at Meredith's house.
He knew, from the second he walked towards it and saw those alarmingly numerous fairy lights, that this was probably going to be the worst thing he'd ever attended. Still, there was bound to be free beer, and Izzie would be there - so it had its perks.
He knocked heavily on the door, able to hear the pounding music from inside. Two seconds later, the door was abruptly open: George stood there, smiling wildly. He'd clearly had way too much to drink, but that was hardly surprising for George. The guy couldn't handle his drink. Now his eyes were bleary, his cheeks were flushed, and he was giggling just a little.
If that hadn't given him away, then his excited, "Alex!" would have.
Alex nodded a greeting, and in doing so noticed the mistletoe hanging above the door - just two seconds too late to avoid George planting a kiss on his cheek, and grinning. "Merry Christmas!" George beamed happily, before turning around to walk into the house. Alex smiled to himself, and decided that maybe this party wasn't going to suck after all.
Title: New Year's Eve
Rating: G
Summary: This time, it's the New Year's Eve party. George muses, and Alex accompanies him. Est. relationship.
Notes: For
leah1878George sat outside, staring out at the black night sky as he heard the countdown to the New Year going on in the house behind him. Big party. Typical. He wasn't drinking, though, as he was on call - as were most of the doctors and nurses inside, actually.
5, 4, 3, 2
He smiled in that pause, that one second between old and new. Next year would be better than this one. It had to be.
1! Happy New year!
Fireworks blasted to life all around town, turning the black sky above him a brilliant mix of fiery colours. Behind him, the door opened and Alex stepped out, quickly sitting down beside him.
An arm was slung carelessly around his shoulders, and George leaned against his boyfriend with a heavy sigh.
"Happy New Year, man. All that shit," Alex said, kissing the top of his head.
George smiled. "Yeah. Happy New Year."
Title: Hard Day's Work
Rating: PG
Summary: Alex comes home from a day at the hospital - George is there to help him relax. Mindless fluff. Est. relationship
Notes: For
magickaldreamerAlex sighed heavily, kicking his shoes off as he entered his apartment. He closed the door behind him and walked into the dingy area, flicking the light switch on. The room, full of forgotten take-out and dirty clothes, looked sadly neglected as he moved right on past it, without glancing at the mess once.
Instead, he went to the bedroom - where George was lying sleeping on the bed, breathing so heavily that he was almost snoring. He was still wearing his shoes, so there was mud on the bed by now. Alex couldn't quite force himself to care. He pulled his t-shirt off over his head, muscles complaining after such a long shift at the hospital.
The bed dipped as he sat on it, and complained with a loud groan when he actually lay down behind George. Shifting forwards, he slipped an arm around George's waist, and brushed a kiss against the back of his neck.
That got George to laugh lazily, dozing but not properly asleep get. "Tickles," he mumbled - Alex wasn't sure if he was complaining or not.
He decided not to pursue it; he was tired. He made sure not to mention that to George, though. He had a reputation to uphold, and if anyone found out that Alex Karev turned down an opportunity for sex, it'd be ruined. It had managed to survive through everyone knowing that he'd allowed George to move in, but only just. This would be the last straw.
So instead, Alex smiled. "Yeah? Good." He did it again, light enough to get another laugh. "Now get back to sleep, George. You gotta work tomorrow."
And, naturally, he'd just remember to tickle George senseless the next morning to wake him up.
