Prompt #13: When George accidentally mentions he's been secretly dating someone for the past six months, Meredith, Cristina and Izzie go on a wild goose chase to find out who it is.
Prompt #15: Either of their families comes to visit and George's family is overly familiar with Alex or vice versa, leading to the hospital staff finding out.
Okay... so... hmm, can I use two prompts in the one fic?
Also... is it possible to slightly alter a prompt to make it fit cannon a little more easily?
The prompt I'm eyeing is 'George and an asthamtic (or diabetic) Alex are stuck in an elevator'... but I can't make either of those chronic diseases work in my head (despite having done it before!) but I could use something equally serious and have it resonate a little clearer (ie. appendicitis, etc).
Are there rules about doing this? Thought I'd best check before I get to writing.
The time for claiming came and past a while ago, so technically you can't claim, but if you can fit it into your fic, it can work. It will still be held over for next year, though. Just add in "with some inspiration and alteration of Prompt 2" or whatever.
As for the deadline, you can claim up through November 17. No claims will be accepted after that, mostly so that everyone has a reasonable amount of time to work on the fics they claimed. If you feel that you can do more, feel free to claim the prompts. Just don't take more than you can handle.

(and how rigid is the claiming deadline?...because based on my workload during thanksgiving break and December, i may have time to claim more.)
