Oh, thank you so much! It's good to have you backing up my theory that the second one just was not passing muster. There was just something... off about it. So glad to know you also agree that this one is on the right track. Hopefully there will be more novels in the Remnant Fleet universe!

I look forward to any Remnant Fleet novels. This one really resonates with my fondness for action and/or mystery.

I think that was the problem with V2. I was trying to set up spinoffs and sequels and etc. Just like DC is doing with Batman v Superman! But now I can totally see the Quay facing more threats, the Sastruga going on smuggling runs (Serenity lives, and it has a gay female captain! ;D), etc.
