This is a sequel to Rearview, which introduced Alicia Ryan, the driver for Squire's Isle Mayor Jameson Dugan, and the mayor's wife, Laura Dugan. They began a relationship in that story, set in 2007, and this is the continuation of that courtship four years later. I agree! Poor Jameson! But he is a good dude and he deserves a break, so this is good for him! Even if he does have to take the brunt of the "blacklash".

As for the election, you never know! There's something to be said for change. And if Patricia has to leave City Hall and go back to real estate, imagine how easy it would be to introduce new couples to the island/series! ;D

I have a couple of stories planned out! And Alicia will start becoming more visible in Squire's Isle since she'll be accepting fares and driving her cab around. :D
