Title: Smoking Gun
Author: geonncannon
Fandom: Stargate SG-1
Characters/pairing: Sam Carter, Janet Fraiser
Word Count: 387
Rating: R
Warnings:
For: matildaswan
Summary: Jack picks up the clues.

Anyone could take the fact that Sam and Janet often disappeared for long stretches and make an assumption. But Jack was smart enough to look for the true evidence, the thing that took it from idle prurient speculation to the arena of fact. They were at a barbeque and, as part of a running gag, Daniel had brought a large bowl of blue Jell-O. Sam was a good sport about the joke because it meant she always had a steady supply of Jell-O, and the guys had stopped spiking it with liquor after a particularly embarrassing incident at a New Years' Eve party.

(Okay, quickly, because Jack can't remember that incident without going into detail; someone made Sam's Jell-O into Jell-O shots. Jack can't remember if Sam was aware of the alcohol content or not, because she certainly went through it as quickly as usual. She seemed fine, so people stopped keeping an eye on her. The next thing anyone knew, Sam was standing on Jack's coffee table with her shirt off, singing a badly out of tune rendition of 'I Love Rock and Roll.' Janet had finally had to wrap her in an afghan and drive her home.)

At this particular party, Jack noticed Sam and Janet had disappeared no longer after the last of the Jell-O. He didn't think much of it, but he made a 'did you notice?' expression at Daniel. When they returned to the party twenty minutes later, Sam kept touching the back of her head as if to make sure her hair wasn't standing up. Janet checked her lipstick in the sliding glass door that led out onto the deck. That alone would have been enough for most people, but Jack moved in close for the smoking gun.

"Some party, huh?"

Janet smiled. "Oh, yes. I'm not exactly the party-all-night kid I used to be, but this is fun." She turned toward the room and Jack glanced at the right side of her neck.

Above the collar of her undershirt, mostly hidden by the collar of her blouse, was an oblong smear of blue.

Jack smirked. "Well, try to enjoy the rest of the night."

"Will do, sir."

He took a sip of his beer and wandered off. He wondered what other parts of Janet's body might be bluish in color.

Title: My Goodness
Author: geonncannon
Fandom: The Good Wife
Characters/pairing: Alicia Florrick, Kalinda Sharma
Word Count: 314
Rating: NC17
Warnings: None
For: demoka
Summary: Kalinda can't take how squeaky clean Alicia is. Alicia proves her wrong.

"Would you... consider..."

"What? You?" Kalinda's smile is almost condescending. "No."

"Why not?"

"You're not gay."

"I... could be. I never experimented in college because Owen was already gay. I figured, one per family. No need to act on any of those weird urges."

Kalinda stood up and moved in front of Alicia's chair. She leaned down so their faces were even, her hands on the arm rests. "Sorry, Alicia, but everything you do is just so perfect. And nice. And I just can't imagine anything happening between us." She leaned in and Alicia pulled back. "See?" Kalinda kissed Alicia's cheek. "But I'm flattered you asked. Night."

Kalinda walked away, visible for a great distance due to the office's many glass walls. Alicia fumed. Nice. Why did everyone insist on labeling her as nice and good and... She pushed herself up and hurried out of the office. She caught up with Kalinda at the elevators. "Wait. Hold the elevator."

Kalinda held her arm out like a sword, stopping the door as Alicia swept inside. Alicia straightened her jacket as the doors closed. Once they were alone, Alicia turned and lunged at Kalinda. The move was so sudden that she didn't have time to react; she merely made a quiet sound of surprise as her lips were covered by Alicia's.

In terms of minutes and seconds, the kiss was extremely short. By measurement of their thoughts, it lasted the entire night. Alicia wondered what the hell she was doing, Kalinda wondered if this was the invitation she had been waiting for.

They pulled apart moments before the elevator doors opened on the lobby. Alicia touched the corner of her mouth, brushed her hair out of her face, and steadied her breathing. "Don't call me nice."

Kalinda hit the door closed button. "Don't call me predictable."

Alicia's eyes widened as the doors slid shut on them.

Title: The New Arrangement
Author: geonncannon
Fandom: Castle
Characters/pairing: Alexis Castle, Kate Beckett
Word Count: 208
Rating: PG13
Warnings: Character death
For: elerigo_amor
Summary: Alexis suffers a tragedy, which leads her back to Kate.

If there's ever anything I can do, please... don't hesitate to call. Any time day or night.

Alexis remembered Detective Beckett's expression that night, the night her father hadn't come home. Guilt, sorrow, anger, frustration... she remembered how odd it was that she wanted to give Beckett a hug. To tell her it would all work out in the end. But she just took the card and whispered "thank you" and let her grandmother show Kate out.

It had been five years since her father died. She thought for a long time about what she wanted to do, what she could possibly do in a world without her Dad. Finally she decided, and she took out the card and called the number written on the bottom.

They met at a coffee shop. Kate looked the same, but maybe a little more world-weary. They shared stories about what they had both been up to before Alexis revealed her decision.

"I want to be a cop. And I thought maybe you could... mentor me." She shifted in the booth and looked down at her hands.

Kate covered Alexis' hands with hers. "I would be honored, Alexis."

Alexis smiled and turned her hand, pressing her palm to Beckett's and squeezing gently.
