teryl_brat42Summary: Janet helps prepare for a very special day.
Janet adjusted the tie, checked to make sure the row of buttons were appropriately lined up, and reached up to straighten the collar.
"Mom..."
Janet forced a smile and dropped her hands. "Sorry, honey. Just... seeing you in that uniform is..." She blinked back her tears and held up her hand as if taking an oath. "I swear. I will not cry. I just... it is so damn good to see you in that uniform, Cassandra."
Cassie smiled and looked down at herself. She'd finished college, applied to the Air Force Academy, and now she was about to take her first permanent assignment. Fortunately it was a place where she was considered an old friend.
The front door opened and newly-promoted General Samantha Carter joined them in the foyer. "I can get a spaceship across the galaxy with time to spare, but try to drive my two ladies to work and we're five minutes late. Are we ready?"
"I've been ready," Cassandra said, looking pointedly at Janet.
Sam put her hand on Cassie's shoulder and guided her forward. "To the car, please. I'll deal with her." Cassandra took the escape route, heading out to the car. Sam turned to face Janet and placed her hands on her partner's shoulders. "You swore."
"I swore I wouldn't cry in front of her."
Sam chuckled and guided Janet's head to her shoulder. "Our little girl."
"I know." She kissed the top of Janet's head. "We must have done something right."
"I kept waiting for it to get hard. To become a burden. But--"
The car horn honked. Janet rolled her eyes.
"Is she too old to ground?"
Sam took Janet's hand. "I'll write her up. Throw her in the brig."
"Good. Show her the ropes on her first day."
Sam smiled and led Janet out to the car where Cassandra was waiting to be driven to the SGC.
Title: Off Duty
Author:
geonncannonFandom: Law & Order SVU/Castle
Characters/pairing: Olivia Benson, Kate Beckett
Word Count: 332
Rating: R
Warnings: None
For:
psicoptaliaSummary: Olivia takes time for herself and meets a kindred spirit.
At night, she showers and changes out of her work clothes. She puts on something scandalous; leather pants and a low-cut top. Something Detective Olivia Benson would never be caught dead in. She smiles as she puts on her makeup; no one ever questions where she gets her outfits when she has to go undercover in a seedy bar. Did they just assume she had it tucked at the back of her closet for special occasions? She winks at her reflection and leaves her apartment - and her professional self - behind.
The bar is far from her apartment, outside the radius of her every day life. It's a different part of the city, unfamiliar enough to feel like a completely different town. She orders a drink and nurses it, watches the amber liquid swish around the ice cubes. She doesn't have a plan. She doesn't expect to pick someone up. At least that was the plan until she caught the woman watching her in the mirror behind the bar.
They sense something in each other, the part of a cop's demeanor that can't be silenced with a new pair of pants and smears of makeup. Olivia eventually gets a new drink, orders a second, and carries both glasses across the room to the woman who has been watching her. She leans down so that the brunette can get a good look at her chest and so that she doesn't have to shout over the music.
"I'm Olivia." A pregnant pause before she adds, "Just Olivia."
The other woman understands. "I'm just Kate."
"Drink?"
"Sure."
Olivia hands over the drink and slides into the booth beside Just Kate. She puts her arm around Kate's shoulders, and Kate leans into her. A hand rests on Olivia's thigh, and Olivia smiles as she feels Kate's hot breath on her throat.
"Love the pants. Are they hard to get out of?"
Olivia turned and pressed her lips to Kate's cheek before she answers. "We'll see."
Title: Bajoran Resistance
Author:
geonncannonFandom: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Characters/pairing: Kira Nerys, Leeta, M'Pella
Word Count: 467
Rating: NC17
Warnings: Kinkiness?
For:
rebakathySummary: Kira held back as long as she could.
She blamed it on the drinks. All the drinks she had ever bought at Quark's building up in her system and hitting her all at once. She blamed it on Jadzia, opening her eyes to new experiences and making her believe it was all right to take a risk. Kira had resisted; it was unseemly for someone like her to approach the dabo girls. Of course, Jadzia had an answer for that: "If you ask, the worst thing someone can do is say no. Right?" She put this philosophy to the test when she asked Kira to bed, and Kira rewarded the risk by saying yes. But now Jadzia was with Worf, Kira was alone and horny and drunk, and she really, really wanted to ask something that had been on her mind for years.
M'Pella was a dabo girl, one of the most popular. She was extremely tall - what humans often called Amazonian - and her nose was utterly smooth. Kira played a few rounds when the crowd filtered out, and soon she found herself flanked by both M'Pella and Leeta. Somehow the game became less important as they started talking about themselves. She felt Leeta against her right arm, M'Pella looming to her left, and Kira brought her hand up to stroke the smooth line of M'Pella's nose.
"Birth defect," was what she remembered the next morning through her hangover. "Always thought it made me look ugly."
Kira had cupped M'Pella's head, forced her to bow, and kissed the spot between her eyebrows. She declared it lovely. She remembered Leeta doing the same thing, leaning across Kira to kiss the same spot on M'Pella's face before turning to face Kira. Their lips met briefly, and Kira realized what the next logical step was.
They used Kira's quarters; she was uncomfortable enough without dealing with an unfamiliar bed. First she watched Leeta and M'Pella. Then they invited her to join them, revealing they had done this together many, many times. "But never with another woman," M'Pella said, dragging her fingers down Kira's ridges in an almost covetous way.
Kira and Leeta used their nasal ridges on sensitive parts of M'Pella's anatomy, and M'Pella made up for her lack by curling her tongue and pushing her two lovers to new heights of pleasure.
In the morning, Kira woke first. She found the two dabo girls spooning on one side of the bed and slipped out from under the blankets. She tiptoed barefoot to the bathroom and caught her reflection in the mirror. She remembered Jadzia's words: "the worst thing they can do is say no."
"Nerys?" Leeta's voice was quiet, but heavy with sleep.
"I was about to take a bath." Kira bit her bottom lip. "Why don't you two join me?"
They didn't say no.
