~nods~ I was eased into it by writing a story about Jo hunting on her own, and it just kind of came together. Ashley/Jo! Of course! There needs to be a whole subset of fandom writing for these two. ;-D

I agree! The two shows just pair so well and I'm positive that some of the beasties Sam and Dean have gone up against have shown up on Santuary's radar. (Also doesn't hurt that they are two of my favorite fandoms)

~nods~ Sanctuary is so low with the femslash (I don't much go for the Helen/Kate) that's it's so great to have the opportunity to pair Ashley with someone really worthy. :D

I had to google this Jo person cause I don't watch Supernatural, but it was worth it. She looks badass! Perfect match for Ashley.

Jo wasn't very well-used on the show, but when they had her... whoo! Alona Tal always kicks ass. :D And she really was badass. One of the few human women characters that could keep up with the boys (she even managed to overtake and imprison one of them in one episode! :D)

Never actually watched Supernatural, but I loved this. Two blonds monster hunting? Hells yeah.

Awww, sorry! There's really no need to know Supernatural to understand Jo. Her daddy was a monster hunter and got killed, so she wants to be a monster hunter, too. Her Mom runs a bar for other hunters. They have a very Helen/Ashley vibe to them (although Sanctuary did it SO much better than SPN did IMO ;-D)

Aww, thank you! I'm SO proud how this turned out, because the idea of Ashley and Jo fighting monsters together was just so, so, so good. :D And I loved the end product, if I do say so myself.

It's almost as if you're going through my LJ catching up on my fics. ~very pleased!~ There's a Jo-alone story lurking around here. I could find it if you're interested. :D

Yeah, that's why I'm not too keen recommending SPN to people. They are SO terrible to their female characters. If they're not a demon or a victim, they get dead fast. Jo really kicked ass. I still shout, "JO!" whenever she pops up on other shows. :D
