Night at the opera

Monday night was a night of pretention with one of the least pretentious people I know, sionainn, she of the bubbly laugh and shining eyes. Thanks to her fiancee, she had two tickets to the opera.

I was a dresser and makeup artist for the Arizona Opera a decade ago. I knew little about opera, other than generally didn't much care for it. It was amusing to learn about it backstage for four seasons. I love parts of it and loathe much of it. I will never be an opera queen, though I certainly met one or two.
