 Long time no post.  I can't think why.

First, thanks MUCH to everyone who did last post's meme.  Great fun!  Maybe that's why I haven't posted since.  Hard act to follow for sheer satisfaction.

In the meantime, I continue to be mesmerized and... increasingly... horrified by the US political scene. The campaign I had looked forward to so much as -

And "13th century mob scene" is a pretty accurate depiction of what has been going on lately. It's even a pretty accurate depiction of the little bit of the debate I watched the other night.

I don't know how objective my opinion is because I think the idea of a new geo-fic in the fandom would be wonderful, but I honestly think that when it comes to muses and writing, nothing is "wasted". As long as writing gives you pleasure, it shouldn't matter if it's something that can published or not. My two cents.

When a story hits with that kind of power, how does one resist it? Maybe it's best not to try. ;-)
