At livejournal, you have to do this to bold, which is to add the carat-shaped brackets around the words you want to bold. So the code you use is < b >word< / b > without the spaces. It shouldn't matter that your account is paid for or not.

03) What talent do you wish you had? I kind of like enjoying the talents of other people
04) If I bought you a drink what would it be? If you mean alcohol probably a glass of either sherry or port
05) Favorite vegetable? Just about anything that is in season and fresh. I love vegetables
